Teaching and learning
As our educational offering expands, we are changing our name to Cambridge Assessment International Education. While our core activity remains examinations, our work now also encompasses a broader suite of education services. Our Chief Executive, Michael O’Sullivan, talks more about the change here.
What’s changing when?
We have a phased transition of our materials up until 2020. To avoid confusion, we have created a page to show you which changes will happen when on key items such as certificates and question papers.
What else is new?
This year sees the launch of new programmes for students and world-class support for schools and teachers. This includes extending Cambridge Global Perspectives to make it available for 5 to 14 year olds.
How do I tell others?
In order to help schools explain the new name our Communications Toolkit has been updated with new logo guidance and marketing materials. We don’t expect our schools to update their materials immediately. As we change over to our new name, you will continue to see our old brand on some of our materials as we work through updating them. To keep things simple, we ask that you transfer over as and when you update any collateral which holds our old brand. You can find all the materials carrying the new name and logos in our Communications Toolkit.
We are also introducing a new name to talk about our whole programme. The Cambridge Pathway puts each of our education stages in the context of a clear, progressive, coherent path for education success from age 5 to 19. As part of this we have also changed two of our stage names to Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary to help indicate where they fit in the Cambridge Pathway.
Improving the quality of national education systems continues to be a priority in our work with ministries and national education organisations around the world.
As a department of the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Assessment has 160 years of expertise and an unrivalled depth of experience in working within national education systems, international education and English language learning.
